Baltimore is rolling out its new Bike Share program in October.
According to the Department of Transportation, there will be 500 bikes located at 50 stations in the city.
Bike Share aims to provide an alternative to Baltimore’s current transportation network.
The city will have the largest electric-pedal program in the western hemisphere with 200 electric bikes.
The DOT is scheduled to host several public meetings to find out where rental stations should be installed. The next meeting will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the South Baltimore Learning Center.
