A 49-year-old Arnold, Md. woman was indicted by a federal grand jury on two counts of immigration offenses, the United States Attorney's Office in Baltimore said Friday.
Shingaidzo Nhekario faces one count of alien harboring for financial gain and one count of unlawful conduct with respect to immigration documents.
According to the indictment, Nheikairo harbored a Zimbabwean national from 2006 to 2014, concealing the victim's immigration status for financial gain and taking the victim's passport to perpetuate her labor and services.
Nhekairo faces a maximum of 10 years in prison for the harboring charge and one year for the withholding count, plus restitution, if convicted.
