Baltimore Archbishop Lori is creating a statewide task force against racism.
The group includes Catholic leaders from African American and Latino communities, legislators, historians and academic scholars.
Their first meeting came after the Baltimore Ravens' decision to take a knee during the national anthem in London.
Lori says the violence displayed in Charlottesville last month shows there's a lot of work that needs to be done.
He goes on to say the task force will take an honest look at the past and find ways to repent and reconcile.
