An early investigation discovered a crash between two vehicles. Detectives revealed that a 2008 Buick was traveling Southbound in the 200 block of Monroe Street and a 2015 Dodge was traveling Westbound in the 1700 block of West Lexington Street. The driver of the Dodge failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign, taking the Buick's right away.

The driver of the Buick struck the rear passenger door of the Dodge. The Buick continued on before hitting a parked Ford Focus.

All occupants involved in the crash was taken to an area hospital.

The drivers of the Buick and the Dodge are listed in stable condition. A 61 year-old female passenger of the Dodge was pronounced deceased at an area hospital.
