81-year-old woman hit, killed in motorcycle accident

An 81-year-old woman was struck by a motorcycle and killed Wednesday afternoon on West Northern Parkway. 
 
At approximately 2:26 p.m. police responded to the 3800 block of West Northern Parkway for an accident involving a pedestrian. The motorcycle and its driver remained at the scene of the accident. 
 
The woman was transported to Sinai Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. She was identified as Sarra Abramovich. 
 
Investigators say the woman was walking southbound on the westbound side of West Northern Parkway. At the 5600 block of Narcissus Avenue, the pedestrian began walking towards the center median. 
 
The motorcycle was traveling westbound in the 3700 block of West Northern Parkway. The motorcycle hit the pedestrian as it approached the 3800 block. 
 
The driver of the motorcycle sustained minor injuries and abrasions.
