45th anniversary of Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum

Today is the 45th anniversary of the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum opening in Baltimore.

The building at 216 Emory Street was almost demolished, but was preserved as a national historic site.

It's the official museum of the Baltimore Orioles, holds official archives of the Baltimore Colts and also includes the Ravens and Maryland Terps. Other local and regional sports history is also showcased in the museum.

More than a million people have visited the museum from around the world.
