Baltimore Police arrived at the 2800 block of Pelham Ave. Tuesday evening for a 3-year-old pedestrian who was hit by a car.
Officials report that the car, a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta was driving in the 2800 block of Pelham Ave when the boy ran out into the road and was struck by the car. Police say the vehicle remained at the scene.
Medics were called to the scene to transport Carter Dinkins to a nearby hospital after he was seen suffering from serious head injuries. They say the boy later died from his injuries on Wednesday.
Crash Team Investigators say the accident happened as a result of the pedestrian.
