Police say a 22-year-old woman was stabbed to death after a fight near a lounge early Saturday morning.
The lounge is supposed to be on the 1000 block of Hillen Street near downtown but there isn't much there.
Even when police responded, they said no one was there.
"It was pretty much like a ghost town,” Detective Donny Moses said, “at least there were no victims or suspects there."
It wasn’t until later when three women showed up in area hospitals with stab wounds that police were able to start piecing it all together.
Two of the women will survive their injuries but later that day, police say 22-year-old Nijenae Allen would die from a stab wound to her neck and chest.
Police say they do have a person of interest in Allen's murder but are hoping for some more information to fill in the story of a late night in a near abandoned block.
"We need people to help us out with information and we have been doing well with that. In this case a young lady lost her life, I know the family wants closure. If the suspect is in fact the suspect, she needs to be charged so...whatever people have, we are inviting that info," Moses said.
If you do know anything about that argument that led to the stabbing death of Allen, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP.
