29-year-old charged with attempted murder in West Baltimore

BALTIMORE — A 29-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he shot a 36-year-old man in the leg on July 19.

Police say the man was shot in the area of 1600 West North Avenue following an argument. Detectives investigated the incident and were able to identify the suspect as 29-year-old Donwin Brooks.

Brooks was transported to Central Booking where he was charged with first-degree attempted murder.
