24-year-old man killed overnight in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Police say a man was killed in an overnight shooting in Baltimore.

On Saturday, around 2:45 a.m., officers headed to the 1100 block of South Charles Street for a report of a shooting.

Once they arrived, police found a 24 year-old man who had been shot.

Police have identified the victim as Ernest Wilson III.

Wilson was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Councilman Eric Costello posted on facebook adding "The victim did not live here, but was renting out a short term rental for a "game night" he planned to have with his friends. Two individuals entered the property and announced a robbery and subsequently shot and killed the victim."
