Tigger, the 22-year-old cat with a lust for life and an impressive bucket list to match, passed away Friday.
According to a post on the cat's Facebook page, Tigger had trouble walking and standing up the night he died, and passed away in his owner's arms without any pain or complications.
"A piece of us is missing but at the same time having him in our lives was the greatest blessing you could have imagined," his owners said on Facebook. "We weren't prepared for something like this to happen in less than 5 minutes, but so grateful he spent not only the entire day with me.... but the last purring moments in comfort."
The Canton-based couple adopted Tigger after he was abandoned at 20-years-old.
The two took him to a local veterinarian where he was diagnosed with kidney failure.
Months later, Tigger developed a tumor which encouraged his owners to create a bucket list for their furry friend. The cat embarked on several adventures, including a day at the beach and a road trip to Washington, D.C.
