BALTIMORE — On Monday, Mayor Jack Young proclaimed this week to be 2019 Minority Business Enterprise Week, promoting supplier diversity and inclusion in Baltimore.

The theme of the week is to inform, instruct and inspire. The week was created to raise awareness about the critical role minority and women-owned businesses play in Baltimore.

"Our goal is to use some of these advanced technologies as opportunities, markets and management skills," said Mayor Young.

This week's schedule of events includes minority business enterprise site tours, a minority manufacturing symposium and a federal procurement fair hosted by Senator Cardin and Mayor Young.
