A two-alarm fire broke out in a block of six vacant rowhomes in the 2700 block of Fenwick Avenue Tuesday morning.
Fire officials said one home was occupied, yet firefighters were able to save it from damage. One person managed to escape without injury. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Fenwick Avenue between Harford Road and 28th Street is closed. The Alameda is also closed at 28th Street. Detours are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, yet officials believe the blaze is connected to two other fires that broke out on the same street last week.
