Baltimore City firefighters responded to the 4200 block of Bonner Road Saturday for reports of a fire.
There was heavy smoke showing from the first floor of the home, and there were reports of a person trapped inside.
Firefighters rescued a woman from the home, she was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
Another woman and a child were also transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
