BALTIMORE — There's less than 2 weeks until Thanksgiving and on Friday, turkeys with all their trimmings were handed out to families in East Baltimore.

The New Life Food Pantry hosted a Thanksgiving market at the corner of North Avenue and North Milton Avenue. Hundreds of people turned up to get what they needed for their holiday meal.

"Not everybody has the extra resources to go out and buy everything they need for Thanksgiving," said Rev. Milton Williams from New Life Food Pantry. "We are trying to become that resource to help people do just a little bit better."

The turkeys and boxes of trimmings were purchased by the New Life Food Pantry from the Maryland Food Bank.
