Friday is a day of remembrance for people who knew Sister Cathy Cesnik, the nun whose murder was profiled in the Netflix documentary 'The Keepers'.
She was born in Pennsylvania on November 17, 1942, so she would have been 75 years old. But, back in 1969, Sister Cesnik disappeared and her body was found in Baltimore County several weeks later.
She was just 26 years old then, and the murder remains unsolved.
Cesnik had been a teacher at Archbishop Keough High School, and some of her former students have been coming together to try and find out what happened to her. Many of those students believe Cesniik had uncovered widespread sexual abuse at the all-girls school. Their investigation is detailed in 'The Keepers'.
Gemma Hoskins, one of those former students, wrote on Facebook that in honor of the nun's birthday people should take off the detective hats for today, and enjoy some time with people they love.
