A tree branch sliced a woman’s leg after a tree fell on the car she was riding in Wednesday.
Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to the call in the 2600 block of Carrollton Road in Annapolis.
Officials said a branch of the tree, approximately two inches in diameter, came through the windshield and pierced the 20-year-old passenger through her upper leg.
Firefighters used hand tools and hydraulic extrication equipment to cut the branch and remove the woman from the car.
She was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
