GAMBRILLS, Md — One person is dead and another is injured after a tractor-trailer and an SUV collided on Monday afternoon in Gambrills.
The incident happened just before 1:20 p.m. on southbound Rt. 3 - Crain Highway at MD 175, Annapolis Road.
Officials with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department say the SUV driver died as result of the crash. The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Bowie Health Center.
Neither of the victims identities have been released at this time. It's still unclear what circumstances led up to the crash.
Southbound traffic on Rt.3 was closed for about five hours prior to reopening.
