Three people were transported to hospitals after a serious car accident that happened Thursday evening in Lothian.
Officers were dispatched to the crash scene on Mount Zion Marlboro Road at Frank Moreland Place around 6:20 p.m.
Investigators say a Ford Focus was driving southbound on Mt. Zion Marlboro Road when it crossed the centerline and struck a Ford F350 head-on that was driving northbound.
They say the cause of the crash was the driver of the Ford Focus who neglected to remain right of center when crossing.
The passenger and driver in the Focus were flown to Shock Trauma.
The driver of the F350 was also transported to Prince George’s County Trauma Center.
The Traffic Safety Section is investigating the crash and charges will be reviewed by the State's Attorney.
