Lanes have been reopened, according to police.
Original Story:
A person was struck by a car on Ritchie Highway in Anne Arundel County Monday morning.
It happened around 5am near Hammonds Lane in the Brooklyn Area.
As result of the crash, police shut down the southbound side of Ritchie Highway causing traffic to backup.

There is no word on the pedestrian's condition, or what caused the collision.
For now, it's recommended you take MD-10 as an alternate route.
