ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — A special homecoming for a detective shot in the line of duty.
Anne Arundel County detective Ian Preece came home to a parade of patrol vehicles on Thursday after being out of state recovering with family.
The police department posted a video to Facebook saying they are. thrilled to have him back.
Detectives Preece and Scott Ballard were shot earlier this month while trying to arrest murder suspect Joseph Willis.
Police arrested Willis after a nearly 16 hour manhunt.
