LINTHICUM, Md. (WMAR) — A Chicago bound flight had to make an emergency landing at BWI Marshal on Sunday evening.

Southwest Airlines flight 2796 originally took off from Reagan Airport in Washington D.C. but had to be diverted after an indication light lit up on the flight deck.

Officials say the airline was carrying 135 passengers and was able to safely land and taxi to a gate.

No injuries were reported.

All passengers and crew members boarded another plane to continue onto Chicago Midway.

The original aircraft was taken out of service to undergo a maintenance inspection.

An official with BWI said airport operations were not affected.
