Belle Grove Elementary School principal disciplines fifth-grader after student showed cocaine to students during recess activities.

In a letter written to parents Tuesday, Principal Tamara Kelly said that "One of the students showed several other students a plastic bag containing a white, powdery substance."

Kelly further explained, " We have take appropriate disciplinary action with regard to the student who had the bag, and are continuing to investigate how he came into possession of it."

The Anne Arundel County principal urged parents to discuss the incident with their children.
