Annapolis Fire crews are investigating a possible gas leak in the downtown area.
Officials say multiple calls came out Monday morning for a gas odor.
Students from Annapolis Elementary School have been evacuated as a safety precaution.
Fire officials have closed Main and Gorman Streets, while Greene and Conduit Streets have restricted access.
The public is asked to avoid this area while crews work to fix this issue.
