A man died Tuesday night after police say he walked in front of a moving car.
An investigation found that a Honda, driven by Jessica McPeters, was traveling northbound on Crain Highway and Wellfleet Lane a little after 10:30 p.m.
Virgillo Torres Pineda was wearing all dark clothing and reportedly walked directly into the path of the Honda. He died on the scene.
Police are saying the cause of the crash is pedestrian error. Reports also say Pineda was drinking alcohol, and that could likely be a contributing factor. Toxicology reports are still pending.
Charges are still pending as well.
