Anne Arundel County Police said they identified the human remains found Wednesday afternoon and believe the remains are of someone who went missing within the past year.
According to police, the remains were found in the area of Holly Drive and Chesapeake Drive around 1:30 p.m.
Investigators say that after a search of the scene by the Evidence Collection Unit, the remains were sent for an autopsy. They were able to determine that the deceased was a Caucasian or Asian female, around 25-30-years-old with an approximate height of 5'03.
Officials say they are still investigating and the manner of death is still unknown.
