PASADENA, Md. (WMAR) — Anne Arundel County investigators say a fire Sunday at the Freetown Village Boys and Girls Club was intentionally set.

It happened just before 5:30 p.m. on the playground near the 7800 block of Willing Court.

Arriving firefighters found the playground fully engulfed in flames. It only took about 10 minutes for crews to extinguish the fire, but not before the heat partially melted the siding of two nearby homes.

The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage according to officials.

Investigators are looking to identify at least two suspects seen on video near where the incident occurred. One suspect turns and looks at the camera at the beginning of the video and stands at the gazebo. The second turns and runs towards the camera around the end of the clip.

Anyone who knows the people in the video, or may have seen anything unusual in the area, or has photos or video of the incident should call 410-222-TIPS.
