A pit bull killed a poodle at an apartment complex in Brooklyn Park Monday morning, Anne Arundel County Police said.
Police said the incident in the 4000 block of Belle Grove Road happened when the poodle’s owner tried to assist the pit bull’s owner, who was locked out.
The poodle’s owner left her apartment and opened the front door for the other resident, who had the pit bull on a leash.
As the resident and the pit bull entered the building, the poodle got out into the hallway and the two dogs met. The pit bull began attacking the poodle, and by the time the residents could separate the dogs, the pit bill had killed the poodle.
