GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A man has died after he and two other people were shot at a pool party in Glen Burnie late Friday night.

At about 11:15 p.m., patrol officers arrived to the 500 block of Everett Road for reports of shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers found one shooting victim. The victim, who has been identified as 29-year-old James Antonio Diggs IV, of Gwynn Oak, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene, which is where they found out that Diggs was not the only one who had been shot. Two more people had arrived to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and have been identified as a 21-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man.

Detectives interviewed several witnesses and multiple pieces of evidence were recovered from the scene. Police found out that the victims were attending a pool party when an armed individual opened fire.

This investigation is active and ongoing, and an autopsy will determine the exact cause and manner of death.
