The Cordish Companies, Live! Casino & Hotel, and Tutor Perini Building Corp. marked a significant milestone in the construction of the $200 million flagship Live! Hotel.
The 17 story building is the tallest in Anne Arundel County.
The property takes a huge leap forward in its evolution, celebrating the traditional "topping-off" ceremony.
The final 23 foot steel beam, signed by 200+ members of the construction crew and executives was raised.
This marks the completion of the hotel structure, the beam will be decorated with a tree and a flag, according to tradition.
The hotel will have 310 rooms, luxury spa and an entertainment center that Cordish says will feature national acts.
The new hotel is expected to open sometime in the spring of 2018.
