ODENTON, Md. — Police are investigating a Saturday night homicide that occurred within a residential neighborhood of Odenton.

It happened around 8:50pm, outside a home on the 500 block of Williamsburg Lane.
That's where Anne Arundel County officers discovered Marquell Alonso Derrington, 31 of Capitol Heights, shot to death along the sidewalk.
"Preliminary investigation indicates there was a verbal and physical altercation outside of the residence that led up to the shooting," police said. "This appears to be an isolated incident to the residence and domestic-related in nature."
Police are not yet identifying the victim, pending family notifications.
