Heroin is a crisis in Maryland, and it only seems to be getting worse.
Now Anne Arundel County has more to worry about: carfentanil, a powerful tranquilizer used for elephants and rhinoceroses. Drug dealers are mixing carfentanil in heroin, and four people have died as a result -- three of those deaths were in Anne Arundel.
Now police are focusing on finding the drug dealers.
"Our investigators are collecting evidence at the scene to determine where this drug is coming from, whot he supplies are," said Marc Limansky with the AACO Police. "We won't stop until we can find where this stuff is coming from and apprehend these drug dealers.
