GLEN BURNIE, Md (WMAR) — At 8 pounds 9 ounces, baby Amar Anthony Morgan made his entrance into the world. Born 22 minutes into the new year, he's taking home title of University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center's first baby of 2020.
"He was due December 27 but he wasn't ready to come out. He was comfortable so the doctor decided to induce him and he came on the first," said mom Leslie Williamson.
Williamson and baby Amar are happy and health, getting support from her mother Leslie and caring hospital staff.
"The staff brought things that they made and they presented us with lots of gifts and we were very excited," said grandmother Leslie.
It was a special way to help start this young man's life.
