Glen Burnie fire is now under criminal investigation after crews knocked out flames

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Anne Arundel Fire crews knocked out a fire early Wednesday morning in Glen Burnie.

The department said crews received a call from a passerby reporting a house fire on the corner of Binsted Road and Fitzallen Road.

The first crew to respond found the fire around a front window. According to officials, firefighters took down the flames in 10 minutes.

Investigators later determined that the fire is incendiary in nature. Fire officials said a person of interest has been identified and is now under criminal investigation.

Investigators are requesting that anyone who may have seen anything unusual in that area this morning or have photos or video of the fire to contact them.
