As the opioid problem grows across the county, including in Maryland area, more organizations are trying to inform community members on how to help.
On Friday morning, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health's Adult Addiction Program offered a free training to learn how to use intranasal Naloxone to reverse an opioid overdose, and prevent death.
The training was aimed to teach community members how to recognize, respond and prevent an opioid overdose, and how to administer Naloxone, which is used to reverse an opioid overdose.
Each person who attended the training received a free Naloxone kit to use to help someone if they are overdosing.
