GLEN BURNIE, Md. — The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said a firefighter was injured last week in Glen Burnie, while battling a house fire.
Fire officials said the incident happened Friday, May, 24 at 6494 Mount Vernon Lane.
At 2:52 p.m., crews arrived to a reported fire showing from the second floor of two-story row-home. Firefighters battled the flames and gained control in 20 minutes.
According to the department, four adults and three children have been displaced as a result of the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross. One firefighter suffered burns to his hand and was taken to the Burn Center at Johns Hopkins Bay View with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
