Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed the life of one person.
Officers say around 10:47 p.m. officers were notified of a crash on MD Route 100 eastbound before the merge with MD Route 10 in Pasadena.
Investigations revealed a Mitsubishi pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Route 100 when the driver left the roadway and struck a tree.
Police say, witnesses reported seeing the truck driving erratically prior to the crash.
The driver was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with critical injuries where he later died.
Police have identified the driver as Donald Nadwodny of Glen Burnie.
The victim’s body will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
According to police, the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The preliminary cause of the crash was failure to remain in a single lane.
Police do not believe excessive speed or alcohol are contributing factors in this case.
This incident is still under investigation.
