Crash kills one, four others in Shock Trauma with serious injuries

A 21-year-old woman is dead and four others are injured after a crash on Route 295.

Maryland State Police troopers of the Glen Burnie Barrack say they were notified of a single vehicle crash around 5:30 a.m. on southbound Route 295 at Route 175.

Officer say the 2006 Mitsubishi left the interstate for unknown reasons and struck a tree.

The deceased, Keona Johnson was ejected from the vehicle and into lane one.

The driver and remaining passengers were transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma with serious life threatening injuries.

No charges have been file and the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.

Baltimore Washington Parkway was closed for five hours due to the crash.
