Anne Arundel County keeps open warming centers

The bitter cold has come to our area, prompting warming centers to open for those who need heat assistance.

Anne Arundel County announced they will continue to keep open their warming centers overnight from Tuesday at 6 p.m. until Wednesday at 9 a.m. in response to the cold temperatures and low wind chill temperatures. Temperatures are forecast to be in the low 20s with gusty winds, creating wind chill values in the teens.

The following Anne Arundel County Police District Station Community Rooms will be available and designated as warming centers from Tuesday, January 15, at 6 p.m. until Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 9 a.m.:

  • Northern District: 939 Hammonds Lane, Baltimore
  • Eastern District: 204 Pasadena Rd, Pasadena
  • Western District: 8273 Telegraph Road, Odenton
  • Southern District: 35 Stepneys Lane, Edgewater
