SEVERNA PARK, Md. — According to Anne Arundel County Fire and Police Departments, Benfield Road is closed between West Drive and Jumpers Hope Road due to a 2-alarm fire.
The fire, which came out at around 5:40 p.m., is happening at Benfield Florist and Park Deli. The Fire Department says that the fire was showing on arrival and that 66 firefighters are working in a 107 degree heat index to get the fire under control.
At the moment, traffic is being diverted through the shopping center parking lot.
