Annapolis Mayor Mike Pantelides asked government officials to not make any comments on the president or national issues on city social media accounts.

The mayor made a statement about posts from government officials after Annapolis Police chief Scott Baker commented on a speech by President Trump in which he told officers to not be "too nice" while making arrests on the Annapolis police Facebook page.

In response to the post, Pantelides said government employees should not comment on presidential or national issues. The mayor's office told ABC2 News that was directed to people making comments during company time and using company equipment.

The chief's Facebook post is no longer on the Annapolis police Facebook page.
