An Anne Arundel County high school was evacuated early Monday afternoon following a bomb threat, school officials said.

Anne Arundel County Schools Spokesman Bob Mosier said just before noon someone called Annapolis High School with an unspecified bomb threat.

Students were immediately evacuated from the building to an adjacent school stadium.

They returned to class at around 12:45 p.m. after police and fire crews cleared the scene.
