Three K9s with the Annapolis Police Department have received bullet- and stab-proof vests because of a charitable donation from Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits.

The vests for K9s Ciro, Peko and Atos come from Vested Interest, a charity from Massachusetts. Vested Interest said earlier this week it was providing a vest for a K9 with the Maryland state police.

The donation to provide one protective vest for a law enforcement K9 is $1,050.
