22 people were pulled from Severn River Sunday after squall flipped 16 sailboats in Severn River.
Multiple sailboats overturned, after a significant change in weather occurred.
The victims from the Severn Sailing Association ranged in age from 16 to 70.
According to Maryland Natural Resource Police, the rescue was the result of help from Anne Arundel County, United States Naval Academy Fire Departments, The United States Coast Guard, Maryland State Police Aviation, and good Samaritans assisted in the rescue and recovery of the sailors and vessels.

MD NRP tweeted that the water temperature was 43 degrees.
While also noting the wetsuits on the sailors and quick action by rescuers combined for a good outcome.
There were no injuries reported by those rescued or emergency personnel.
