Anne Arundel County Police say a 21-year-old man died in a crash early Sunday morning on College Parkway near Cape Saint Claire Rd in Cape St Claire.

Police say officers were called to the area just after 3:30 a.m. to the single vehicle crash. Investigators say that the vehicle was traveling northbound on College Parkway when it went off the road on the right, hit an embankment and rolled over. According to a release, the unrestrained driver was found pinned under his car and had to be extricated by first responders; the other three passengers were able to free themselves.

Officials declared the driver, 21-year-old David Anthony Nawrocki of Annapolis, deceased on scene; the Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore will perform an autopsy. The other passengers, a 17-year-old male, a 20-year-old male, and a 21-year-old woman, were rushed to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries or as a precaution.

Police cited the driver failing to stay in one lane on the road and speeding in wet conditions as the primary cause of the crash.

Police are still investigating to determine if alcohol was a factor.
