GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A 2 year old that went into cardiac arrest after nearly drowning in a backyard pool has died, police said Thursday.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department initially received the call Wednesday around 4:15 p.m. for the 300 block of Johnson Farm Lane in Glen Burnie.
Crews located the family, who was trying to take the child to a hospital a short distance away in the 800 block of Old Stage Road.
Medics found the child to be in cardiac arrest and drove the child the rest of the way in an ambulance.
Police don't believe the incident to be suspicious at this time.
