A fire broke out in a two-story single family home in Pasadena early Monday.

Smoke alarms alerted the three people who lived in a home on Cokesbury Court, that there was a fire, which allowed them to escape safely and wait for firefighters.

Firefighters responded shortly after 4:15 a.m. to multiple callers informing them of the fire. Once they arrived, they found the house fully consumed by the fire which prompted them to request a second alarm. Fifty firefighters were able to control the fire in less than 20 minutes, but not before the house was heavily damaged.

One occupant received minor injuries and was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center. The other occupants are receiving assistance from the Red Cross after being displaced. Firefighters and investigators are still on the scene, but no damage estimate is available.
