The deadline to register to vote in Maryland's primary election is Tuesday, April 5 and several efforts are underway to help get out the vote.
A voter registration drive is being held at Mondawmin Mall organized by Black Girls Vote, an organization that empowers locals to exercise their right to vote. The group hopes to reach out to commuters on their way to work outside of the mall Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Voter registration is also available online in Maryland or on paper at MVA offices and at the local Board of Elections.
Maryland's primary election voting takes place on April 26, with early voting starting on April 14.
