Authorities say an elderly man and woman found dead at a home near Pittsburgh died in what appears to have been a murder-suicide.
Police and paramedics were sent to a Clairton home at about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday after a report about an unresponsive person on a porch.
Arriving emergency responders found a 73-year-old woman on the front porch who was pronounced dead at the scene. The front door was open and a 72-year-old man found inside was also pronounced dead.
Allegheny County homicide investigators said at this point they believe the man shot the woman and then killed himself, and "there is no suspicion that any other parties were involved."
The names of the two weren't immediately released. Autopsies are scheduled Thursday to determine the cause and manner of death.
