Police have identified the person who they say opened fire at UNC Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon, killing two people and hurting four others.
They believe Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22, is responsible.
He's a student at the university.
Police say he was not on their radar before the shooting.
He did not say anything to officers as he was taken into custody on the UNCC campus.
Three of the people who were hurt are in critical condition. The other person has non life-threatening injuries.
The two people who were killed haven't been identified.
The university was placed on lockdown yesterday as officers secured the campus. Students were later allowed to return to their dorm rooms on campus.
